Used to install Tufting Tape. The Ejector Needle consists of two parts: 

Iron Point  and Wood Handle 

When you will need a new needle, order the Iron Point only. Attach it with screws to your old Wood Handle and continue to work.  This will save you 50% from the cost of a complete needle.
